Ended up winning an XDA II on eBay and just got it today. It's like any Pocket PC and works get as an MP3 player
The BlackBerry connect software is on there, but it's only got E-Mail synchronization, nothing else.
I haven't been successful in getting it sync though. When I click on the PC BlackBerry Connect software, it just doesn't see the device even though the "Connect" button only shows up when I plug the XDA II into my PC.

The strange thing is that the firmware seems to be newer then what's available on O2's site, so I haven't "downgraded" it yet. Kind of worried that I'll downgrade it to not my working.

I managed to set up the GPRS modem on so I can browse my tmobile the web through my TMobile sim, so at least that's working.
